Opening the Template Builder
- Go to Settings → WhatsApp Templates from the sidebar.
- Select the WhatsApp inbox you want to create templates for.
- Click New Template.
Step 1 — Basic Information
- Template Name — Lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores only (e.g.
order_confirmation). - Category — Choose Marketing, Utility, or Authentication.
- Language — Select the language for this template variant.
Step 2 — Header (Optional)
Choose a header type:
- None — No header.
- Text — Up to 60 characters. Supports one variable.
- Image / Video / Document — Upload or provide a URL. Used for rich media templates.
Step 3 — Body
Write your message body. Use {{variable_name}} to insert dynamic values. For example:
Hi {{customer_name}}, your order {{order_id}} has been shipped and will arrive by {{delivery_date}}.
Keep the body under 1024 characters for best deliverability.
Step 4 — Footer (Optional)
Add a short note at the bottom of the message, such as Reply STOP to unsubscribe.
Step 5 — Buttons (Optional)
Add up to 10 buttons. Types available:
- Quick Reply — Short reply button (e.g. "Yes", "No", "Track Order").
- Call to Action — URL — Opens a link in the browser. Supports a dynamic URL variable at the end.
- Call to Action — Phone — Dials a phone number.
Submitting for Approval
Once the template looks correct, click Submit. The status will change to Pending. Meta typically reviews templates within a few minutes to 24 hours.
Syncing Template Status
Click Sync on any template to fetch the latest approval status from Meta. Bulk sync refreshes all templates at once.
Editing and Duplicating
- Edit — Only available on Draft templates. Submitted templates must be duplicated.
- Duplicate — Creates a copy of any template so you can make variations without rebuilding from scratch.
- Delete — Removes the template from Voxys Connect. Does not delete it from Meta; use Meta Business Manager for that.
Tips for Approval
- Avoid overly promotional language in Utility templates.
- Do not use all-caps or excessive punctuation.
- Make sure every variable is clearly identified and has a realistic sample value.
- Authentication templates must use the OTP button type.
